Our volunteers and personnel make “Age well at home” possible.
Services
Funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Age Well at Home initiative . The CCFL is pleased to offer the ‘Age well at home’ program. Our goal is to help vulnerable seniors age safely in their own homes through a wide range of services.

This service enables caregivers to take time for themselves for a set period of time, while a volunteer looks after the senior they are caring for.

This service includes mowing the lawn once a month or as needed during the warmer months to maintain a clean appearance. In winter, the service includes snow removal from driveways, sidewalks and other areas necessary to ensure the safety of the senior at least 1 time / week or as needed.

This service involves transporting seniors not only to CCFL activities, but also to medical appointments and daily errands. Transportation is subject to minivan availability.

This service includes home visits by volunteers. These visits enable people living in solitude to come out of their isolation while offering them a personalized presence and moral support trough various activities such as reading…

The home-delivered hot meal service is a service that delivers prepared, ready-to-eat meals directly to seniors' homes. Offered twice a month.

This service includes dusting the living room, emptying the garbage cans, vacuuming the living room...This service will be provided once a month and/or as required.

This service will enable seniors to have virtual consultations with healthcare specialists via the OTN (Ontario Telemedicine Network). Seniors will thus be able to access the services of French-speaking professionals through this technology, in partnership with Accès Franco Santé London (AFSL).

This service involves one of our specialized volunteers coming into your home to solve a variety of computer problems. This can include installation of peripherals, software updates, virus removal, recovery and data backup without having to move the computer or telephone. This activity will be carried out on an as-needed basis.

Accès Franco-Santé London (AFSL) is a central access point for information, coordination and navigation of health and social systems for the French-speaking community of Southwestern Ontario.

This service involves 30 minutes to 1 hour telephone calls by volunteers. These calls enable lonely seniors to come out of their isolation, while offering them a virtual presence.

We need your help to support and provide these services to French-speaking seniors. Join us in supporting your community.
*All volunteers will receive comprehensive training related to their position (first aid, criminal records, etc.).
